Commissioner Rules

Teams (name + starting stats)

S · E · T · P — must each total 20
Section 1 Worked Example — Follow Along
Watch how one team figures out their new loadout when a Commissioner rule changes everything.
Commissioner Rule Endurance ≤ 8 worked example — always fixed

Meet Team Axon. Here's their original loadout:

StatOriginal ValueRule Check
Speed (S)4—
Endurance (E)11❌ Exceeds cap of 8 by 3 points
Turning (T)3—
Power (P)2—
Total20 ✓—
The problem: Endurance = 11, but the rule says Endurance ≤ 8. Team Axon must reduce Endurance by at least 3 points — and those freed points can go to any other stat(s) they choose.
Key idea: The rule says ≤ 8 — so Endurance could land at 8, 7, 6, or lower. You don't have to drop all 3 points in one place either. Spread them however you want, as long as the total stays at 20.

Before you scroll: predict what Team Axon should do.

Think for a moment. Where would you put the freed Endurance points — Speed, Turning, Power? All in one place, or split? When you're ready:

Here's what Team Axon decided:

StatOriginalChangeNew Value
Speed (S)4+26
Endurance (E)11−38 ✓
Turning (T)3+14
Power (P)202
Total20020 ✓
They freed 3 points from Endurance and chose to distribute them: +2 to Speed, +1 to Turning. Power stayed at 2. Total is still 20. Rule is satisfied.

Here's how the loadout shifted:

Original
S=4
E=11
T=3
P=2
Endurance ≤ 8
S=6
E=8
T=4
P=2
Gained: Speed Power ↑ 10  ·  Decay Rate ↑ 4.5  ·  Turn Ratio ↑ 0.02  ·  Arc Segments ↑ 1
Charge Speed  ·  Follow-through unchanged

Now check the formula values:

FormulaOld ValueNew ValueChange
Speed PowerS × 5 4 × 5 = 20 6 × 5 = 30 +10 ↑
Decay Rate(20 − E) × 1.5 (20−11) × 1.5 = 13.5 (20−8) × 1.5 = 18.0 +4.5 ↑
Turn Ratio0.2 + T × 0.02 0.2 + 0.06 = 0.26 0.2 + 0.08 = 0.28 +0.02 ↑
Arc SegmentsT 3 4 +1 ↑
Charge SpeedP² 2² = 4 2² = 4 0
Follow-through120 + (P × 35) 120 + (2 × 35) = 190 120 + (2 × 35) = 190 0
Notice something surprising: Lowering Endurance from 11 to 8 actually increased the Decay Rate from 13.5 to 18. That's because the formula is (20 − E) — lower Endurance means higher decay. Team Axon trades endurance for speed and turning, but their bot slows down faster. Was that a good trade for the Championship?
Section 2 Guided Practice — Team Nexus
Apply the real Commissioner rule to a practice team. Anything that satisfies the rule and balances the budget is valid.
Section 3 Your Team — Championship Loadout
Enter your new loadout. All rules must be satisfied. Budget must stay at 20. Save snapshots to compare options, then lock in your final pick.
