Teach a Visitor

This sheet is yours — one per student, for the whole exhibition. Fill in Part 1 once at your station. Then teach from it, and mark the tracker on page 2 for each visitor. Hand each visitor a Visitor Sheet to solve on — they don't write on this one.

PART 1 — set up your station (fill this in once).

1 Pick the equation you'll teach

Check ONE box below and fill in your team's own numbers.

How far the bot goes
distance = × time +
First number = your speed (cm per second). Second = your start-up (usually negative).
How long to drive to hit a line
time = ( target − ) ÷
Fill in your start-up, then your speed. Answer is in seconds — ×1000 for milliseconds.

Or teach one of your stat equations — check one, write your points, work out the result.

StatPointsFormulaResult
SPEED ptsMotor Power = (SPEED × 100) ÷ 20= %
ENDURANCE ptsP(t) = 100 − (20 − ENDURANCE) × 1.5 × t= %
TURNING ptsTurn Ratio = 0.2 + (TURNING × 0.02)
Arc Segments = TURNING
= unit

POWER ptsCharge Speed = POWER²
followThrough = 120 + POWER × 35
= %
= ms
TOTAL   Speed + Endurance + Turning + Power = / 20

2 Your teaching script — say this out loud

What you'll say to each visitor

"Our equation is .
The number means our bot goes cm every second.
The number means .
So if you know the , you can find the ."

3 Visitor tracker (PART 2 — fill in as you go)

One row per visitor you teach. Your goal: they solve your problem after just ONE explanation.
